Death Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard jokingly told the capacity Somerville Theatre crowd that his band had been here six times last year. While not true, thanks to the 2005 hit "Plans" and a massive world tour, Death Cab and Gibbard haven't been strangers.
