EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
THE traditionally stable list of Los Angeles County's 50 largest hotels saw an addition this year of the soon-to-be-completed 1,000-room downtown convention center hotel that will be co-branded as a Marriott Marquee and a Ritz-Carlton hotel.
Beverly Hills-based Hilton Hotels Corp. leads the list with eight hotels in its name, accounting for 4,225 rooms. Its flagship property, the Beverly Hilton, has plans to undergo significant renovations that include removing the landmark Trader Vic's restaurant and replacing it with condominiums.
