May 9--VENERABLE TIFFANY IS EYEING SPOT AT LA CUMBRE PLAZA: Plenty of changes are afoot at La Cumbre Plaza shopping center in Santa Barbara. The mall's owner, The Macerich Co., has brought in several new stores recently that definitely lean toward attracting the upscale shopper.
New tenants that have opened in the past year include such national names as COACH handbags, J.Crew clothing and Janie & Jack children's wear. Opening soon will be Ruth's Chris Steakhouse and Marmalade Cafe.
