Transportation Alternatives on Friday launched what it calls the biggest advocacy campaign in its 34-year history to promote Mayor Michael Bloomberg's PlaNYC 2030. The first initiative of the group's campaign is to orchestrate an e-fax barrage against Rep. Anthony Weiner, D-Queens, who opposes congestion pricing.
Real estate interests will oppose several provisions in the city's new building code, which is expected to go before the City Council for approval this summer.
