Soccer: Zebras face potent Irish offense: Bishop McGuinness soccer stars will be tough matchup for Claremore boys.

May 11--Claremore seeks its first boys state soccer championship. But to win that title, the Zebras must overcome a team that has two of the state's top scorers -- Steve Perry and Rory Flaherty. The forwards from Oklahoma City Bishop McGuinness (16-1) have combined to score an astronomical 59 goals. Each has scored more goals than the 17 the Zebras have allowed in 16 matches. Perry, also a track athlete, is headed to Notre Dame on a soccer scholarship. He has scored 39 goals this spring, while Flaherty has 20 goals with 25 assists.
