May 12--Kalliope Stage has done a switcheroo with its schedule that has turned out to be quite lovely with Chevalier: Maurice & Me, featuring singer and entertainer Tony Sandler.
The Belgian-born Sandler was half of the Sandler & Young singing duo that achieved fame in Las Vegas in the 1960s. He and partner Ralph Young had a 20-year performing and recording career together.
One of Sandler's latest projects is bringing the life of French superstar Maurice Chevalier (1888-1972) to the stage. He has created the biography Maurice & Me, which is chock full of details of the singer's storied life as well as scores of songs from ...
