May 13--For Dalia Maltese, aloha truly means hello and goodbye.
Now that the New York College of Health Professions graduate has a master's degree in acupuncture therapy, conferred upon her yesterday at the school's convocation, she's heading to Honolulu. Maltese, 27, of Williston Park, will work in a spa, using her newly minted skills and those she received from her 2003 degree in massage therapy.
"This is a great career to go into. It's fun, relaxing, you love your job," Maltese, the 2007 student commencement speaker, said before the ceremony. "And you get to help people. I'm nervous but ready."
