TORONTO - During the long, chilly, dark and dreary months that followed the end of the 2006 baseball season, Theo Epstein and his associates along Yawkey Way apparently conspired to create the perfect baseball team.
Last night, Red Sox pitchers nearly pitched a perfect game, Sox batters nearly had a perfect game, Boston fielders did have a perfect game, and the Red Sox ended an almost-perfect road trip by beating up on the Blue Jays, 8-0.
