WORCESTER - His relationship with promoter Don King, and his very boxing career, on thin ice at age 34, three-time world champion Jose Antonio Rivera is forming his own promotional company - not to further his own ambitions, but the careers of local fighters in this fertile boxing mecca.
Rivera, who now lives in Auburn, is teaming up with boxing official/referee John Zablocki of Dudley, former middleweight contender Sean Fitzgerald of Worcester, and businessman Raul Crockett of Worcester to form Rivera Promotions.
