May 14--Whether you're planning on running into the grocery store to buy a gallon of milk or making a quick stop at the bank, if you have children or pets with you, it is not OK to leave them waiting in the car.

Weekend temperatures briefly hit the triple-digit mark at the Tucson International Airport on Saturday and Sunday and since it's certain to occur again, officials are advising people to take extra precautions, especially with children and pets.

In only a matter of minutes, temperatures inside of a parked vehicle can rise sharply.
