Motion sickness can make traveling miserable. A bout of motion sickness can involve nausea, dizziness and even vomiting.
Motion sickness is more common in women, especially during pregnancy or menstruation; children ages 2 to 12; and people who suffer from migraine headaches.
The primary cause of motion sickness lies in excess stimulation to the inner ear's maze of fluid-filled canals that help maintain the body's balance. Poor ventilation, anxiety and visual stimuli may also contribute to motion sickness.
