Lane County voters in the May 15 election can vote for or against an income tax and for or against a cap on that tax.
But the possible results might not be as simple as that sounds.
"It's really confusing because it's complicated," Commissioner Faye Stewart, board chairman, said this week.
Stewart and a board majority want voters to approve a first-ever countywide income tax that would replace a possible loss of annual federal aid and cover the cost of inflation for all county services for 10 years.
