May 13--MASSENA -- After months of delays, additional work and policy crafting by the village Board of Trustees, the $2.1 million community center will open to the public with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open house on Saturday.
The village hoped to have the building ready by late December, but it was pushed back when the delayed delivery of heating and ventilation equipment forced contractors to wait on painting and floor work.
The last piece of work to be done, however, should be wrapped up at Tuesday's village board meeting, when trustees will develop an official set of policies for further use of the center, village ...
