Out at the ballyard the other night, you might have noticed the Giants' starting pitcher, drafted just 11 months ago out of the University of Washington. Tim Lincecum was selected eight picks after the Rockies chose another pitcher from the Pac-10.
Over in the American League, you might not have noticed the Seattle reliever drafted the same day. Brandon Morrow of Cal was selected three choices after the Rockies made their pick of the Pac-10.
Meanwhile, Colorado's pick, 6-foot-7 Greg Reynolds of Stanford, the second selection overall, is dominating the Double-A Texas League with an ERA of 1.66.
