Christine Signs With U.S. Agency for Representation
LOS ANGELES, May 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Sixteen year-old Canadian singer-songwriter Christine Evans, who emerged from the same thriving Vancouver Island music scene that introduced Nelly Furtado and Diana Krall, won the Album of the Year honor at last month's Island Music Awards in Vancouver. The award recognizes her second album, 2006's Push, which scored a Canadian #1 Christian radio hit single with "Break Me." She also had a holiday season hit in '06 with her inspired cover version of fellow Canadian Joni Mitchell's "River."
