This book is a report on a meeting of the Joint FAO/WHO Expert Committee on Food Additives held in 1992. The conclusions of that committee are presented here to evaluate the safety residues of certain veterinary drugs in edible animal products. The first part of the report outlines principles for evaluating veterinary drugs with a long history of use, and for which experimental data meeting contemporary standards is not available.
