Upstart Promised Land Dairy takes on the superpremium giants
No doubt, there must be easier places to launch a new ice cream than Texas--one of those rare markets where one brand, Blue Bell, is truly dominant. So how does another Texas-made brand, starting from scratch in 1993, gain distribution in many of the state's major supermarket chains? Through good marketing, mostly.
