Motorists from across the nation, and across the state, have for decades been pulling off U.S. Highway 101 and into the small parking lot at Sea Lion Caves, about 11 miles north of Florence.
On a recent Thursday morning, there were 13 cars in the lot - six different state license plates. And another dozen or so cars in the larger lot across the highway.
