TOKYO, May 16 Asia Pulse - Specialty valve manufacturer Vtex Corp. has launched production of vacuum valves for the semiconductor industry in Seoul.
The Hitachi Zosen Corp. (TSE:7004) subsidiary invested some 100 million yen (US$831,804) to equip a maintenance location it set up in the South Korean capital five years ago with clean rooms, a warehouse, cleaning equipment and testing facilities.
The manufacturing operation is currently staffed with six or seven people and turns out 30 small vacuum valves for the semiconductor industry each month. This summer, the company plans to start making products ...
