Grosvenor first female to make Tipton mayoral run.

May 17--TIPTON -- Angela Grosvenor never dreamt of running for mayor.

When Mayor George Ogden announced he would not seek a second term, she began thinking she might want the job.

A little encouragement from her 17-year-old son, and Grosvenor threw her hat in the ring.

On May 8, Grosvenor won the Republican nomination for mayor. In the process, she made history by becoming the first woman to be a general election candidate for mayor in Tipton.

She'll now face Democrat Dan Delph on Nov. 6.
