Suzanne Farrell, the renowned Balanchine dancer and Cincinnati native, returns home in November as the highlight of the Cincinnati Ballet's 2007-2008 season.
Farrell, 61, who was awarded the prestigious Kennedy Center Honors in 2005 for contributions to dance and the teaching of it, will join her Washington D.C.-based ballet company with the Cincinnati Ballet for a joint presentation of George Balanchine's "Chaconne" as part of the fall concert series.
The 1985 ballet, which uses music from Gluck's opera "Orpheus and Eurydice," was originally danced in its premiere by Farrell and Sean Lavery.
