May 18--GUILFORD COUNTY -- Guilford County school officials responded Thursday to a slew of invalid rumors that have created disruptions and panic at area schools since the beginning of the month.
Superintendent Terry Grier said in a statement Thursday that the school system has been reminded how easily rumors and inaccurate information can spread on school campuses, particularly when possible threats are made.
