Bajaj Auto scrips dip sharply on bourses

Mumbai, May 17 (PTI) Shares of Bajaj Auto Ltd dived by 17 per cent on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and 15 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) today -- a day after the company announced its demerger plan.

The scrip touched a low of Rs 2,179 on the BSE and over 3.04 lakh shares exchanged hands in the early morning trade.

Bajaj Auto was trading at Rs 2,297.70, down 8.10 per cent, on BSE at 10.10 am.

The shares dipped by 17.27 per cent on the NSE to touch a low of Rs 2,135. Around 8.05 lakh shares exchanged hands on the stock exchange.
