May 19--Robin Bobzien, city engineer, and Stuart Nelson, assistant city engineer, have been working almost nonstop since the rain of May 5. This week, the two answered questions about the flood and the events caused by it:
Q. Is there anything that can be done to Moccasin Creek to improve its capacity and allow water to drain more quickly from the city?
A. Moccasin Creek is directly linked to Foote Creek and the James River.
Moccasin Creek's ability to move water out of the city depends in part on the water level of the James River and Foote Creek, Bobzien said.
