Renowned pianist Peter Serkin returns to the Syracuse Symphony for concerts Friday and Saturday in the Civic Center's Crouse-Hinds Theater.
Serkin solos for Bach's Piano Concerto in D minor and Stravinsky's Concerto for Piano and Wind Instruments. In keeping with the concert's title, "Serkin & the Sea," the program also spotlights Debussy's "La Mer" (French for The Sea) and Benjamin Britten's Four Sea Interludes from "Peter Grimes."
Maestro Daniel Hege picks up his baton at 8 p.m. each day.
