May 21--Before Sean Smith could get too comfortable in the bullpen, he found himself back on familiar turf.
In his fifth game back in the starting rotation, Smith (4-1) carried the Buffalo Bisons to an 8-1 win over the Indianapolis Indians Sunday in the second game of a four-game series.
Smith started the season in relief because of a lack of available space in the lineup for starters. As Bisons left-hander Rafael Perez floats between the Cleveland Indians and Buffalo, and with right-hander Brian Slocum on the DL, Smith is left with a slot in the starting rotation.
