May 22--The new president of the Golf Channel is Page Thompson, 45, from Bryn Mawr, who until two weeks ago was senior vice president and general manager of video services for the parent company, Comcast.
Thompson's biggest and most recent claim to fame at Comcast was developing the cable giant's video-on-demand platform.
As he waited to catch a flight home from Orlando, Fla., for the weekend to see his wife and children, Thompson, a Princeton and Harvard Business School graduate, fielded a few questions about his new job.
