Bismark is one of the largest new underground mining projects constructed in Mexico over the last ten years. It is the country's fifth largest underground metal mine and is providing about 1% of the world's zinc supply. It is a wet mine that employs cut-and-fill mining by trackless equipment with overall productivities of 7.6 t/manshift. Complex mineralogy dictated differential flotation.
