May 22--Memorial coach Ralph Escalona enjoyed watching Mark Hudson perform for the Vipers this season. Escalona will get the opportunity to watch Hudson play one more time. Hudson has been selected to play in the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association's Class 4A-5A All-Star Game. Hudson, a senior, will be a member of the South squad in the annual game, which is scheduled for Sunday, June 17, at noon at Dell Diamond in Round Rock.
"He had an excellent year," Escalona said of Hudson, who will become the first Memorial player to take part in the game.
