SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 31, 1995--Alps Electric (USA), Inc., a leading manufacturer of peripherals and pointing devices, Tuesday introduced a Macintosh version of its popular GlidePoint, a revolutionary touch surface pointing device. The PS/2 version of GlidePoint was announced in October and the serial-port version was announced in December.

The Alps GlidePoint, which employs the same technology found in the new Apple PowerBook Trackpad, comes complete with an Apple Desktop Bus (ADB) connector. Software is included to control the cursor or to program any of the three buttons.
