May 21--Members of Knights of Columbus Council 867 handed out rulers and collected donations at Darrenkamp's at Willow Valley Friday during the annual "Measure Up" campaign.
They received about $500 to benefit The Arc, 630 Janet Ave., an organization that works for the rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Brian Cunningham, supreme representative for the Lancaster County council of Knights, said the KOC will match the funds, giving The Arc $1,000.
Council member Chuck Yost said the collection is just one of the projects the council, headquartered at 1575 New Danville Pike, holds throughout the year to benefit local charities.
