The story of this unlikely enterprise actually started across the Mississippi River in Waterproof, Louisiana, when Lynn James, a single mother of four, decided to put her creative ability and her degree in merchandising to work by starting her own business. "I have always loved clothes and fashion of all types," Lynn says. "With kids in the picture, it was a natural direction for me to explore children's clothing when trying to come up with a business idea."
