McDONNELL DOUGLAS SELLS OUT FIRST YEAR'S PRODUCTION OF NEW MD 630N ON FIRST DAY; PRODUCTION GO-AHEAD NEXT

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Response to the new McDonnell Douglas MD 630N has been so positive that the first year's production was sold out on the first day advance purchase orders were offered.

McDonnell Douglas Helicopter Systems publicly unveiled the MD 630N on Sunday at Heli-Expo '95, where the company took orders for potential deliveries in 1996.

The MD 630N is the new stretch version of the MD 520N, produced in Mesa, Ariz. The MD 630N features seating for eight, a new six-bladed main rotor system, the Allison 250-C30 engine and a more powerful drive system to take advantage of the C30's increased power.
