WARREN - An interim school superintendent will be hired to lead the Quaboag Regional School District for up to a year.
"My original thought was to go out and get a (permanent) superintendent tomorrow," school committee member Lori L. Loughlin said at Monday's board meeting. However, she gave it more consideration and decided an interim selection was better.
Carol C. Jacobs, superintendent of the West Brookfield-Warren district for three years, recently announced she had accepted the superintendent's job in Georgetown, in the northeast part of the state.
