Qualcomm Inc. is suing Nokia from France to Italy to China and back to America.
Nokia and other wireless device companies have filed complaints against the chipmaker with fair trade authorities in as many countries.
Despite reports about Qualcomm's mounting legal fees, the battle over who owns wireless technology didn't keep the San Diego firm from coming out on top in the second quarter.
Qualcomm recently announced a more than 20 percent increase in net earnings and revenues for the second quarter compared with the same period in 2006.
