May 24--Dudley Magnet School presented residents of Homewood Residence with the "Gift of Age," a biographical book on the residents that was created by fourth-grade students. The students went to Homewood in October in pairs to interview some of the residents. The students returned a second time with more questions, then took all the information from the interviews, typed it up and turned it into a book.
"It was so unique, it was in their words and you know children's words can't be duplicated. They just have their own way of saying things," Ruby Seale, 91, said. "None of us could put them down until we read all the way through them."
