May 24--dog fighting is "sport," then I resign today, because it is one I could never cover.

See, sport as I understand it is an athletic contest between willing participants to test them, not kill them, and I don't ever recall anybody asking a dog how it'd feel about being trained, tortured -- whatever miscreants want to call it -- to use its powerful jaws to tear apart and bleed another dog to its death, or die trying.

And don't tell me dog fighting is like boxing or mixed martial arts. It's not anything like boxing or mixed martial arts.
