Automotive trends, both in manufacture and supply, include wider adoption of Japanese practices. Can they move west with ease?
The automotive supply sector in Europe is still undergoing fundamental changes, caused by structural changes in the vehicle manufacturing sector.
Trends in part supply have also been greatly influenced by the practices introduced by the Japanese automotive transplants manufacturing in Europe.
Another major influence on automotive suppliers is that competition from Asian and East European part makers will in turn force European suppliers to become more global, along with the car manufacturing industry, says BMW AG.
