May 24--Angie Aguilar's pole vaulting career at Abilene Christian University is near its conclusion, though she hopes to continue in the sport professionally for many years to come.

The recent ACU graduate also will come full circle in a special pole vaulting relationship Friday when she competes at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Charlotte, N.C.

An Odessa native who attended Midland Christian High School, Aguilar will try to defend her national title with husband Cory Aguilar as her event coach. Cory competed in the vault for ACU from 2003-2006 and now is a graduate assistant, specializing in the ...
