With a new director running the biggest show in Central New York, this summer's New York State Fair will showcase more of the state's industry, such as its 57 breweries and 22 halls of fame.
This year's theme will be "Gotta Be There!"
The fair, which usually draws about a million people to the Syracuse area, runs from Aug. 23 to Sept. 3 at the state fairgrounds, in Geddes. The 161st annual New York State Fair will feature 375 acres of animals, exhibits and displays.
