State officials and business groups--not to mention cycling enthusiasts--have high hopes for an eight-stage cycle race between Montreal and Boston that will spend two days in New Hampshire, with a stop in Concord.
The race, which will feature several internationally known cyclists, should boost commerce and put the region on the world cycling map. Organizers intend to hold the race annually.
The race, 745-mile race, which will begin Aug. 6 in Montreal, will course through Vermont and sweep through New Hampshire for two days in August before concluding in Boston.
On Aug. 10, the 115-mile Stage 6 will begin in Franconia Notch, and end in Concord. ...
