NEW YORK, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Sales of Absolut Vodka to U.S. consumers have risen 4.5 percent to more than 2.9 million nine liter cases in the 12 months since February 1, 1994, when Joseph E. Seagram & Sons Ltd. was awarded exclusive importing and marketing rights to the brand here and in a number of other countries.

Absolut's share of the U.S. imported vodka market rose from about 60 percent to more than 63 percent during the same period. Category sales rose about two percent.
