WORCESTER - Thomas J. Vigliatura, a former bodybuilder and the head of an alleged ring that distributed the rave drug GHB, is expected to plead guilty next week in federal court.
Mr. Vigliatura, 38, was set to go to trial next month on six drug-related charges, including conspiracy to possess cocaine and Ecstasy, and distributing GHB, which can be used as a date-rape drug when given in sufficient doses.
Instead, Mr. Vigliatura's court-appointed lawyer has notified the court that he plans to plead guilty at a May 29 hearing, according to court records.
