Nipmuc Regional High first-year girls' lacrosse coach Bill Leaver says his team is better than what it's supposed to be. With the Central Mass. tournament looming next week, the second-year varsity program will get an opportunity to show just how much it has improved since last year's first-round loss to Shrewsbury High.
"Because of the weather, we've got a lot (of games) left," said Leaver, Nipmuc's long-time and quite successful boys' soccer coach. "We keep improving. The other division (Central Mass. A) is so much more well developed, but we're looking to represent the school well."
So far, so good.
