May 27--COLUMBUS -- The recent award received by the Columbus Community Hospital (CCH) is a testament to the hospital's continuing commitment to quality care and the community.
CCH is one of six Nebraska hospitals that received the VHA Inc. Leadership Award for Clinical Excellence.
VHA serves more than 2,400 health care organizations nationwide, including 1,400 hospitals.
The honor was bestowed upon the local hospital at the VHA's Leadership Conference in Denver May 20. For the second year in a row CCH received the award, which honors hospitals for meeting or exceeding national performance standards for clinical care in specific areas.
