MURPHY OIL CORP. OF EL Dorado will be wearing a younger face after Oct. 1 when longtime chairman Charles H. Murphy Jr., 74, passes the torch to his son, R. Madison Murphy, 36.
Charles Murphy, who will continue to serve on Murphy Oil's board as well as its executive committee, has worked at Murphy Oil for 57 years and served as chairman for 30 years.
"He's quite literally someone who has seen and done it all. That kind of advice is invaluable," says Madison Murphy of his dad.
The two are close away from the office as well as in the executive suite. They recently returned from a fishing trip off the Gulf coast.
