Carolco Pictures Inc. and Live Entertainment Inc. are struggling along their separate ways again, after their marriage plans were called off.
The proposed merger would have given Live, an independent Van Nuys-based home video distribution company, access to big budget motion pictures produced by Carolco, known for such hits as "Terminator 2: Judgment Day" and "Cliffhanger."
Carolco, a West Hollywood-based independent motion picture producer, would have gotten greater control over its home video marketing and, therefore, more profits.
