MICROSOL Holdings, a specialist Irish group which provides automation services to the power transmission sector, has been purchased by Crompton Greaves, India's fourth-biggest electrical-equipment maker by market value.
Crompton Greaves told the Bombay Stock Exchange yesterday that it had agreed to purchase Microsol Holdings and other companies in the Microsol Group for EU10.5m.
Microsol is headquartered in the Pearse St Enterprise Centre in Dublin, but most of its operations are based abroad in Tyne & Wear (UK) and the US. Crompton Greaves is based in Mumbai.
