RENO -- Buyers, who took a much more businesslike approach to the Outdoor Retailer show than in prior expos, were greeted with an ever-broadening diversity of outdoor footwear categories, from hikers to pack boots, field and sport boots, athletic outdoor cross trainers, as well as rugged walkers.
Hikers, the item that this show was built around, were less of an item as manufacturers concentrated on these other segments. Those hikers that did garner interest were one-piece all-leather boots generally priced to retail over $100.
