May 29--The pressure felt on their shoulders exceeded the weight of the boat above their heads as the members of the Nardin lightweight eight team entered the water on Monday.

The same boat had carried them to a silver-medal finish in the United States National Scholastic Championships in Camden, N.J. on Saturday. But the girls knew second place wouldn't be acceptable this time around. Besides, their boat needed a name.

And the Gators won in dominating fashion.
